Achieve Superior Accuracy and Efficiency with Modular Fixturing Systems
In precision sheet metal fabrication, even minor misalignment can lead to costly errors. That’s why professional fabricators rely on 3D welding tables to ensure perfect positioning, stability, and repeatability throughout the welding process.
The workflow begins by placing the sheet metal components on the nitrided or chrome-plated surface of the 3D welding table. The modular grid system with Ø16/Ø28 holes, typically arranged in 50mm spacing, allows for flexible fixture placement. Using adjustable angle squares, clamping elements, and locating pins, parts are fixed precisely at 90°, 45°, or custom angles depending on the assembly requirements.
Once aligned, toggle clamps or screw clamps secure the workpiece tightly, preventing distortion during tack welding. The flatness of the table and the rigidity of the fixture setup maintain the accuracy of each welded corner, edge, and joint. After welding, the quick-release system allows for fast reconfiguration, which is especially beneficial for batch production of metal boxes, panels, or enclosures.
Using a SWJIG 3D welding table ensures a faster setup time, improved quality control, and consistent results in every sheet metal welding project.
